Our Commitment to Privacy
Snap Clean is private by design. All photo and video analysis — including duplicate detection, similar photo grouping, screenshot detection, and blur detection — happens entirely on your device. We do not operate any server that receives your media.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We never upload, transmit, or store your photos, videos, thumbnails, file names, file paths, EXIF metadata, location data, face data, or perceptual/file hashes. This information never leaves your device.
Information We Collect
We use Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated, non-identifying usage events (for example, that a scan started or a cleanup completed) to help us improve the App. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash diagnostics such as stack traces, OS version, and app version — never photo content or file names. We use Firebase Remote Config to deliver feature settings; it does not collect personal data.
Advertising Data
Free users are shown ads through Google AdMob, which may collect advertising identifiers and interaction data under Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings. Snap Clean PRO removes all ads.
In-App Purchases
Payments for Snap Clean PRO are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Snap Clean does not receive or store your payment card information.
Permissions We Request
Snap Clean requests photo library access to scan and manage your media. You may grant full access, limited access, or deny access at any time in your device settings; the App remains usable with limited access.
Data Retention
Your scan cache, cleaning history, and settings are stored only locally on your device. Uninstalling the App removes this local data. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Firebase according to its standard retention policies.
Children's Privacy
Snap Clean is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
Because your media never leaves your device, there is no photo data for us to access, export, or delete on our servers. You can clear all local app data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing app storage in your device settings.
Third-Party Services
Snap Clean uses Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google AdMob, and Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase. Each provider's use of data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
